 With Princess ZaZa's fairy dress done, it was time to move on to the tutu! I could have easily done one of those no-sew tutu's in under a day.

Mending Broken Things

Yesterday I finally tackled my "mending" pile. One of Grumpy's uniforms was in bad shape and needed attention ASAP before it was put through the wash. 10 minutes was all it took to reattach a button and a name tag that was coming loose. But I was not done yet.

Paper Bag Round Yoke Dress Tutorial

What you will need to make your own pattern:

• Pencil
• Sharpie
• Large piece of paper, several pieces tapped together, or tracing fabric. I used a deconstructed paper bag. 
• Scissors
• Ruler
• A sleeveless shirt or dress that fits your child well. I used a dress that is a size larger than what the Princess is currently wearing.

Grumpy Kludges

Our internet service provider sucks (I'm looking at you Wild Blue). Apparently we live in an area so "remote" that the only internet service out here is via satellite. We live 10 minutes from a very nice suburban housing area and 20 from a major metropolitan city. And yet we can't even get dial up. Granted the telephone wiring in this house probably hasn't been updated since the house was built in the 70's and probably couldn't handle dial up to begin with... We would still like the option though.

I thought I had published this post earlier this week, but apparently not. Forgetful Knotted. So... Yeah... It has been a really busy week or so for us in the Knotted household. The Princess got a last minute invite for her friend's, the Twins, 3rd birthday. So we had 2 days to either buy or make a gift for two children.

Shots, Binges, and a Declaration of War

Its been an busy week for the Knotted family. The Princess had her two year check-up and vaccinations. She did AMAZING when it came to the vaccination! Seriously, I put her on the table and held my breath. Everyone braced for the usual scream and flailing, but she just gave the two technicians a quizzical untrusting look. In went the needle and all she did was blink. Not a tear was shed. She even gave both of the technicians high fives before we left!

Monsoons in the Desert

I love this time of year. The soon as the rain hits the ground the desert comes alive. The dust gets washed off of the leaves of the Mesquite and Palo Verde trees. Everything blooms and becomes green.

Photo Me No Good

Today was uneventful to say the least. The Princess and myself chilled out on the couch watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.... Six or seven times. Princess ZaZa lives for the musical numbers. As soon as a song and dance scene comes on, she is out of her seat and dancing and singing along.

Git'er Done!

Wow... I got a lot done today. The blog is fully set up. That took forever! 3 hours to format and adjust the background photo to fit. GAH! Lets just say I'm running on caffeine and curse words at the moment.

I've done it. I have finally conceded to modern trends. Blogging seems to be all the rage lately for those with even the smallest idea or opinion. And I am jumping into those murky waters hoping to float on my raft of crafty ideas and amuzing ancedotes.
